Girls History
80's
The Tipp girls program began in the early 1980's. Leslie Judy was the first varsity runner to record a sub 20 5K. Judy ran a 19:12 at the regional meet her freshmen year. This remains the 2nd fastest time in school history.
90's
The cross country program was shut down for a period of time beginning in the late 80's extending until 1993. Bob Crawford brought back the cross country program. The girls program made steady improvement over the 90's. Chelsea Charbin was the top female runner during the decade. She posted a 21:10 at the district meet in 1998.
2000-09
Coach Crawford's 2003 girls team won the Springfield District title. This marked the only time in school history for such a feat. The team was lead by all-ohioan Melanie Grim and the Rambeau twins (Sarah and Nicole). Grim finished 7th in the state in 2003.
Dave Larson took over the program in 2004. He continued building the girls into consisten regional qualifier. Katie Landwehr has provided excitement with two outstanding races at the state meet. Landwehr finished 6th in 2008 and 3rd in 2009.
